What plants need ericaceous compost?
Ericaceous means plants that are acid loving or lime hating and require a pH of less than 7. There are a number of plants that prefer acidic soils, the most well-known being rhododendrons, camellias and azaleas. Magnolias, gardenias and maples are also acid loving. Fruits that prefer acidic soils include blueberries, raspberries and cranberries.
